Amelia the Fox Shaman!

I've decided Amelia might not be such a bad name for the fox shaman, and she can be called Amy for short and Amy is a really nice name! Anyway, underneath is a story my sister, Kinyonga, wrote about her (it was originally written as Rufus's Story, but has been changed). By the way, I forgot to mention that my contest is closing on  Monday the 30th at 11 a.m AJ's time (Washington time). Anyway, here is Amelia's Story:

Amelia's Story
Liza, the panda Shaman, was out exploring new lands. As she came into a small, dense forest she heard a the sound of a stream trickling past. As she was thirsty, she made her way towards it. Liza drank her fill and looked up and down the stream. On the other bank, she saw something glinting in the morning sun. Curious, Liza crossed the stream and went to see what it was; a large crystal! Liza picked it up, and examined it. Now she was sure; it was a Spirit Stone! A new animal could be created! This stone was orange coloured, with bizarre white streaks here and there. Liza pondered on what animal it could make… Oh well, she thought, I don’t know, but Greely should. I’ll go and find him now, Liza took the crystal and made her way back into known parts of Jamaa, and went to Sarepia Forest, which was one of Greely’s favourite places to hang out. Ah, there he is, thought Liza, spotting him, there’s something strange about him, he’s almost as full of dark magic as the phantoms. I can detect darkness around his spirit… Then she went up to him. ‘Greely,’ she began, I have found a Spirit Stone!’
‘Have you?’ he said, seeming interested, ‘What animal is it for?’
‘I’m not sure,’ admitted Liza, ‘I was wondering if you’d know…’
Greely took the stone, and looked at it, thinking. As he stared deep into it he saw time and space flicker past, this animal would be especially powerful. Stars, planets, continents, countries, flickered into his mind, and then he went further in. Counties, cities, small towns, villages, fields, woods. And then it stopped. Greely’s mind was taken further into the wood, as Liza watched in amazement, seeing something amazing was happening in Greely’s mind. Greely caught a glimpse of a rust coloured something under a large bush. All of a sudden Greely felt himself dissolve, and he transformed into a mist, in the shape of a wolf. Now he was free to wander about the wood as he wished, so he made his way to the orange substance. Whatever it was would not be able to see him, hear him nor feel him, so Greely didn’t need to be quiet, or avoid being seen. Under the bush was a vixen, with four cubs suckling hungrily. The vixen did not look up, but licked her cubs tenderly. One of the cubs whimpered and looked up, a small female cub, named Amelia – Amy for short. The cub stared right a Greely, and Greely felt uncomfortable. Abruptly words flashed into Greely’s mind, Who are you?
Greely was astounded, what was happening? He knew the cub had somehow telepathyed him, but how did the cub know he was there? Focusing his mind to the cub’s Greely thought back I am Greely, a wolf Shaman. How did you know I was here?
The cub looked at him in a puzzled manner and telepathyed What do you expect me to see? Thin air? Of course I can see you!
Drat! Thought Greely, my mist must be showing up, then he put all his concentration into being as invisible as possible. But the cub was still looking at him. Greely sighed and said softly ‘Can you hear me?’
‘Yes,’ the cub whispered.
The Greely said ‘Can you touch me?’
The cub stumbled to her feet, and his mother nudged her back down with he muzzle, ‘Amy, what are you doing?’
‘There’s a wolf over there, he says he’s a Shaman, and he wants me to go to him.’
The vixen looked at her cub in awe. She had never told her cub about Shamans, and knew that she must be really seeing one. Then she whispered ‘Greely, wolf Shaman, show yourself, please.’
Greely dropped his misty form and said ‘Hello.’
The vixen looked at him in amazement and said ‘Have you come for Amelia?’
Greely nodded slowly, now sure that the Spirit Stone’s animal was a fox, and the fox’s Shaman would be Amelia.
Amy’s mother nuzzled her gently, and then said softly into her ear ‘Amy, you must go with Greely. He will take care of you, be brave and kind, my daughter.’
Amy looked nervously from her mother, to Greely and back. After licking her mother, she went towards Greely and said ‘I am ready, O Shaman. But, please, what do you want me for?’
‘To be a Shaman in Jamaa, where you will be needed,’ and the two of them vanished, and reappeared in front of Liza.
‘Oh, thank goodness you are back!’ cried Liza to Greely. ‘Your body suddenly went all pale and transparent, and I thought that maybe you were…’ she felt no need to finish her sentence.
‘Don’t worry,’ Greely reassured her, ‘I have now discovered the Spirit Stone’s animal, and their Shaman.’
Liza looked incredulously at the small fox cub, who was wriggling on the floor. ‘Her?’ she asked.
Greely nodded.
